Guards and Soakers

Using hard and soft guards ( soakers) to protect your valuable blades will help you avoid extra sharpenings and assure that your edges will  stay sharp longer.  Never store your blades in the hard guards, the moisture will cause rust to form, quicker than you think.

TIPS AND TRICKS: Keep a mini can of WD-40 oil spray in your skate bag. After drying your blades thoroughly with a soft cloth or chamois, spray a little on the edge surface before putting on your soakers. The oil will protect the blade from any moisture that may form from temperature change. This is especially important when you store your skates, if you plan to be off the ice for an extended period of time.
