Instructional Boots
Instructional level skates and boots are suggested when the advanced beginner starts learning more complex maneuvers and single jumps, and are essential to those starting work on their axel. The toe picks on the blades are larger to allow for a better pick-to-ice ratio, which enables more height in jumps. Skills include: all single jumps, half and single jump combinations, axel and beginning double jumps, spins such as backspin, scratch, sit, camel, spirals, and more complex footwork. Boots should have a stiffness rating between 45(youth) – 70(adult). Learn more with our Buyer's Guides.
